Take them to Tokyo – Year 10 event
Wednesday 10th June, 09.20 – 15.00 Thursday 11th June, 09.20 – 15.00 Loughborough University campus
This is an exciting opportunity to discover more about the subject areas of Sport Psychology, Sport Management and Biomechanics and the role they play supporting athletes to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Attendees will spend the day in interactive taster sessions, whilst also getting the chance to view some of the world-class facilities on campus with current Loughborough students and receive information on pursuing related subjects at higher education level.
Who is the event for?
We are inviting school staff to bring groups of Year 10 students that they think will benefit from this experience, on one of the dates above.
This activity is free* for visiting schools, however, places are reserved for schools able to bring groups of students with at least 66% from their widening participation (WP) cohort and an equal gender mix.
Various criteria exist to identify WP students which can be found on our inclusive community pages. Some schools will also have WP cohort lists which can be used to aid attendee identification. If you do not have a cohort list but can supply prospective attendee’s postcodes, we will be able to advise on whether students meet WP criteria.
