Inspiring Minds: Business & Economics

What is Inspiring Minds?

Inspiring Minds is an excellent opportunity for post-16 students to learn more about the options available at university, through a series of academic taster days focusing around different subject areas. The events allow students to enhance current studies and experience studying their chosen subject area at undergraduate level through a range of topical taster sessions, including lectures and workshops, delivered by our academic teaching staff. Ultimately, the events aim to help students make informed decisions about their higher education options, by exploring subject areas in greater depth and developing an understanding of university level study.

Attendees can also learn more about applying to higher education and university life with informative sessions covering a range of topics such as UCAS applications, personal statements and student finance. Our current students will be available to answer any questions and offer tours of our stunning 440-acre single-site campus. Where possible, we will also provide the opportunity to meet some of our graduates, providing an insight to their career paths after studying at Loughborough.

Furthermore, attending these events can make a great addition to a student’s personal statement, helping them to stand out as part of the university application process.

Individual students, as well as school and college groups, are welcome. The events are free of charge to attend (excluding the cost of travel to Loughborough) and lunch is provided for students.

Please note that the primary purpose of these events is not to provide detailed information on the specific content of our degree courses, but to allow students the opportunity to experience university level study through a range of undergraduate level taster sessions. Course information can be found using our online prospectus and brochures will be provided to take away with this information.
