How is Inspiring Minds different to Open Days?

These events are different to Open Days because of their subject-specific focus and what our visiting students are given access to, such as example lectures and workshops from relevant academic staff across the university.

How much does it cost?

Inspiring Minds events are completely FREE to attend, including lunch and refreshments.

However, this excludes the cost of travel for visitors to reach the campus. Unfortunately, we cannot cover this cost.

Our Inspiring Minds: Online series is aimed at Year 11 and Year 12 students to give you a taste of the content you would be taught while studying at university. This new initiative is part of our Inspiring Minds taster day series and covers subjects such as Creative Writing, Physics and Robotics.

Structured as a mini-competition, Inspiring Minds: Online offers a prize of a £50 Amazon Gift Voucher, plus some Loughborough University merchandise, for the best submission in each subject.

All submissions must be made by uploading a Microsoft Word document to our website. The deadline for the current Inspiring Minds: Online competitions is midnight on Wednesday 20 December 2017.
