The research project was exactly as I was expecting: challenging and interactive.

Why did you choose to study your course at Loughborough University?

I choose to study at Loughborough University because the programme was exactly what I wanted to study. The rank of the University in the UK and worldwide was also a reason to study here. I knew about all the amazing facilities around the campus and the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST), which is one of the biggest in Europe.

Which aspects of the course did you particularly enjoy?

I enjoyed the first semester which enabled me to focus on one subject and really get into it. The rhythm was perfect. The small amount of people in the class and the proximity with the lecturer was very pleasant. The research project was exactly as I was expecting: challenging and interactive.

What did your research project involve?

I worked in CREST with Nigel Monk and John Barton. I was testing electric pressure cookers and their behaviour under different conditions. It was challenging and very interesting. I worked with Nigel and John to understand the process. They were amazing.

How did the teaching quality and facilities enhance your learning?

The quality of teaching is very good, with challenging coursework and exams which at the end makes you proud to have completed the degree.

Do you have any advice for anyone considering doing the programme?

You will make the best choice of your life.
