National Space Centre
This session allows students to experience a role in Science Communication. By putting themselves in the role of and Education Presenter, they will critically analyse a sample interactive session, use their experience to influence a session of their own design and recognise the skills required to do so effectively. The activity works well as a revision lesson for any scientific curriculum and gives an ideal opportunity for students to consolidate their own learning of a topic by presenting it to others.
The session can be adapted to consolidate learning of a topic from any subject curriculum. GCSE English (Spoken language), Personal and Career Development
2 x 50 mins
Standard classroom space is required. For demonstrations, the ability to clear furniture to make space or access an alternative cleared space such as an empty classroom or hall, is beneficial Participants may also benefit from access to materials to create presentations e.g. PowerPoint, materials to create a poster, but this is not essential.
