Maths

The activity aims to encourage students to use their mathematical knowledge to work together and be creative to solve a problem. They will work in teams and will need to devise techniques to complete all the tasks within the timeframe.

This box relies on student’s ability to solve algebraic equations and their knowledge of volume and capacity.

Classroom requirements

Table space for students to work on – preferably group tables accommodating up to 4 students. Smartboard access for the PowerPoints is a necessity. Additional material such as A2 card and Sellotape will be needed.
