A hackathon like no other, join the FutureSpace and Loughborough Enterprise Network (LEN) community on Thursday 7th April for this year’s hackathon, which has a very special and relevant theme - This year we are working with our friends at ReLondon on  ‘creating sustainable solutions’.

ReLondon is a partnership of the Mayor of London and the London boroughs to improve waste and resource management and transform the city into a leading low carbon circular economy. Its mission is to help London waste less and reuse, repair, share and recycle more, by catalysing transformational change through inspiring and empowering the actions of businesses, boroughs and citizens. Do you think you can get involved in ways to mobilise our boroughs, businesses and citizens to change their policies, practices and behaviours, to revolutionise the way we use stuff? What is a Hackathon:

Hackathons provide a venue for self-expression and creativity through problem solving. People from all backgrounds come together, form teams around a problem or idea, and collaboratively develop a unique solution from scratch.

How does it work?

Join a team of likeminded students and look to create solutions to a real-life problem. The hack will focus on developing your innovation community by bringing together students from all institutes.

Teams will be introduced to problem solving tools and support developing their solution from Future Space staff. Teams will then work on the challenge throughout the day before pitching back their solutions at the end of the day.

Hackathons are a practical way to develop your entrepreneurial skills and this hackathon is very unique as you will gain an insight into real life businesses and solving current challenges.
