The Loughborough Tennis program has supported me both as a professional tennis player and also now as a student-athlete. I am able to train full time and also balance my masters degree alongside this which is an amazing opportunity for me. Having studied my undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University I am able to further my education and continue to develop my tennis here at Loughborough whilst receiving a training package that allows me to train like a full time player.
One of the main differences I have found since being here at Loughborough is you receive a lot more individual attention from the coaches and various support teams which helps hugely in developing your game. The coaching team dedicate themselves to helping each player improve themselves as a person, tennis player and overall athlete. We are incredibly fortunate to receive coaching from world class practitioners in their chosen field as well as being able to train in world class facilities. From all this individual support I have been able to develop my game in so many other areas not just on the court.
The opportunity to study and compete at Loughborough has helped me to continue to improve as a player. Last year whilst competing professionally on tour I achieved my career high singles ranking of 604 in the world and now as a student I have the opportunity to compete at the highest level of university sport whilst continuing to pursue my professional career. None of this would have been possible for me without the incredible support from Tom Kisiel and the entire staff at Loughborough Tennis who’s continued dedication, effort and encouragement enable me to continue to pursue my tennis and academic goals.
