Kick Boxing
Kickboxing at Loughborough has something to offer to everyone; boxer, kickboxer, beginner or advanced. It is a great way to improve your fitness, confidence and to make you a better all-round fighter.
Athletic Union Club
We offer a challenging training schedule for both fighters and non-fighters. Training is in our martial arts centre equipped with padded floor, punch bags, focus pads, kick shields, skipping ropes, medicine balls and any other equipment you might need. We also have a packed social calendar with friendly trainers and members, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable experience.
Our coaches teach the World Kickboxing Association style under guidance of head coach Carl Northern. Carl has helped the club achieve much success in competitions and varsity fight nights since the club started, so we are very grateful having him coach our members.
To attend our training sessions, you need to bring boxing gloves, gum shields, groin guards (men) and foam sparring boots. Head guards and boxing gloves may be available to borrow but it is best if you bring your own. No jewellery should be worn during training as this can hurt you and others.
My Lifestyle
Kickboxing is also available through the My Lifestyle initiative, where you can give the sport a go and have loads of fun at the same time.
