Loughborough Lightning Rugby
Loughborough Lightning is the number 1 Women's Premiership Rugby side in the East Midlands and competes in the Tyrrells Premier 15s. Last year was the competition and team’s inaugural year, seeing Lightning finish fifth in the table behind established sides such as Saracens, Harlequins and Wasps.
Boasting a number of internationals such as England Red Roses Captain Sarah Hunter, Lightning brings a wealth of talent and excitement to campus as the team goes head to head with the country's top female athletes each week.

RFU STATEMENT: 2019/20 TYRRELLS PREMIER 15S SEASON
Today, in a letter to the rugby clubs in England, Bill Sweeney, RFU CEO, has confirmed the end of the 2019/20 season for all league, cup and county rugby in England with the exception of the Gallagher Premiership, which the RFU is in active discussions with.
