Loughborough Lightning Rugby
Loughborough Lightning is the number 1 Women's Premiership Rugby side in the East Midlands and competes in the Tyrrells Premier 15s. Last year was the competition and team’s inaugural year, seeing Lightning finish fifth in the table behind established sides such as Saracens, Harlequins and Wasps.
Boasting a number of internationals such as England Red Roses Captain Sarah Hunter, Lightning brings a wealth of talent and excitement to campus as the team goes head to head with the country's top female athletes each week.

Player Profile: Carys Williams
Carys Williams, centre for both Loughborough Lightning and England Rugby, is going to be competing in her first Six Nations tournament this coming February. She already has three England Rugby caps, and received her full-time contract in January. We met her at the Elite Athlete Centre in Loughborough to ask a few questions ahead of the tournament.
