My Learn To

My Learn To is designed to introduce students to a variety of different activities - teaching you the basic skills and techniques.

My Learn To offer short courses (for students only) led by a specialised instructor, designed to introduce and teach you the skills you need to start you off in a variety of activities. If you’d like to gain confidence in a new sport and begin at a basic level, you’re in the right place!

How to Book

You can book your place on a course from the 28th September 2019. Book your place via the Lboro Sport app. The course requires a £20 deposit and will be refunded after successful completion of the course - no refunds will be made for sessions when the participant is unavailable to attend (unless for extremely good circumstances).

My Learn To TENNIS

This is an 8 week My Learn To course that will teach you basic tennis skills and techniques for complete beginners, as well as how to improve for existing players with some experience. Our instructors work individually with each person to achieve their personal goals and train you up to a good standard.

When? There are a total of 8 sessions running every Monday 7-8.30pm from 21st October to 9th December 2019. 

Where? Dan Maskell Tennis Centre

How much? The course requires a £20 deposit payment and learners will be expected to attend all 8 sessions in order to retrieve their payment back following the course. No discounts or refunds will be given for sessions when the participant is unavailable to attend.

My Progress To TENNIS

This is an 8 week My Progress To course which offers those who wish to build on the skills learnt in the My Learn To Tennis course the opportunity to do so. Our instructors work individually with each person to achieve their personal goals and train you up to a good standard.

When? There are a total of 8 sessions running every Monday 7-8.30pm from 21st October to the 9th December 2019.

Where? Dan Maskell Tennis Centre

How much? The course requires a £20 deposit payment and learners will be expected to attend all 8 sessions in order to retrieve their payment back following the course. No discounts or refunds will be given for sessions when the participant is unavailable to attend.

My Learn To BOXING

This is a 6 week My Learn To course that will teach you basic boxing skills and techniques for complete beginners as well as how to improve for existing boxers. Our instructor works individually with each person to achieve their personal goals and train you up to a good standard.

When? There are a total of 6 sessions running every Friday 8:00-9:00pm from 18th October to the 22nd November 2019.

Where? Holywell Studios (meet at Holywell Fitness Centre reception) 

How much? The course requires a £20 deposit payment and learners will be expected to attend all 6 sessions in order to retrieve their payment back following the course. No discounts or refunds will be given for sessions when the participant is unavailable to attend.

My Learn To SQUASH

This is a 8 week My Learn To for individuals wishing to learn the basic skills and techniques involved with the game, as well as for those wishing to improve their existing skill set. The instructor works individually with each person to achieve their personal squash goals.

When? There are a total of 8 sessions running every Monday 6:00-7:00pm from 14th October to the 2nd December 2019.

Where? Edward Herbert Building Squash Courts 1 and 2

How much? The course requires a £20 deposit payment and learners will be expected to attend all 8 sessions in order to retrieve their payment back following the course. No discounts or refunds will be given for sessions when the participant is unavailable to attend.

My Learn To TRAMPOLINING

This is a 6 week My Learn To course that will teach you basic trampolining skills and techniques for complete beginners, as well as how to improve for existing trampolinists. Our qualified instructors from the Loughborough Students Trampoline Club work individually with each person to achieve their personal goals and train you up to a good standard.

When? There are a total of 6 sessions running every Thursday 7.00-8.00pm from 17th October to 21st November 2019.

Where? Sir David Wallace – Zone C

How much? The course requires a £20 deposit payment and learners will be expected to attend all 6 sessions in order to retrieve their payment back following the course. No discounts or refunds will be given for sessions when the participant is unavailable to attend.

My Learn To GYMNASTICS

This is a 6 week My Learn To course that will teach you basic gymnastic skills and techniques for complete beginners, as well as how to improve for existing gymnasts. Our Level 2 coaches work individually with each person to achieve their personal goals and train you up to a good standard.

When? There are a total of 6 sessions running every Thursday 8:00-9:00pm from 17th October to the 22nd November 2019.

Where? Gymnastics Centre

How much? The course requires a £20 deposit payment and learners will be expected to attend all 6 sessions in order to retrieve their payment back following the course. No discounts or refunds will be given for sessions when the participant is unavailable to attend.

My Learn To COUCH TO 5K

This is a 8 week My Learn To course that coaches you through a programme to help you gradually build up to running 5k. Our instructors work individually with each person to achieve their personal goals and train you up to a good standard.

When? There are a total of 16 sessions running over 8 consecutive weeks. The first session takes place on the 17th October 2019 and the final session is on 8th December 2019. There are 2 sessions per week - you must attend both sessions a week to complete the course.

  • Thursday 6.15pm
  • Sunday 6.00pm

Where? Active Zone (near Claudia Parsons Hall).
