Student Finance & changes to studies
Student finance can be a difficult to get to grips with. We see the same issues coming up on a regular basis as so have produced leaflets to help guide you through.
Please read on if you are thinking of:
- Changing your course
- Taking a leave of absence
- Repeating a year
- Adding/removing a placement year
- You are having problems with getting your loans paid
- Your household income has dropped...
Please note that the new leaflet for placements and study abroad will be updated once the government provides the figures for 19/20.

If you are in need of urgent funds because you cannot buy food or necessities, or you are in long term financial hardship, please see our pages on hardship funds. You can talk to an adviser for confidential advice on your situation.
Student Finance Phone
In our offices we have a phone available for students to ring the various student finance providers. This will save your mobile phone bill. You need to come to the information desk in the Bridgeman Building and ask to use the phone.
