Library Coronavirus update 19th July 2021

Following the relaxation of some rules within England that came into force on 19th July, the Library has made the following adjustments to its access:

  • face coverings should still be worn whilst circulating around the Library (unless exempt). However, these face coverings can be removed whilst seated at one of our socially distanced study spaces.
  • staff and students are still expected to take weekly lateral flow tests to make use of the Library building.
  • visitors are now welcome to visit the Library (subject to the usual arrangements i.e. visitors should be 18 or over and must show photo ID at the Reception Desk to be let in the building). N.B. Visitors can no longer use our PCs, although if they are members of an institution that uses the Eduroam wi-fi network, they can still use their own devices.
  • a small number of tables and chairs have been placed in the Library cafe for patrons to sit at whilst eating.

We will continue to keep these access rules under review in order to keep the building safe for Library staff ad our users. We will publicise any future changes to our access arrangements on this site and via our Twitter feed @lborolibrary
