Kate Summerscale is the groundbreaking author of The Suspicions of Mr Whicher (adapted for ITV), Mrs Robinson's Disgrace and now The Wicked Boy. Part biographer, part historian, her real-life narratives of crime and punishment in Victorian England defy easy categorization and mark her out as the most exciting non-fiction writer alive today. Kate will be in conversation at Loughborough as she answers questions from the audience and reads from her published works. There will be an opportunity to purchase books before and after the readings, and refreshments will be available. Admission is free.
