Planned maintenance: JISC internet connection upgrade 2nd & 4th November

Our internet connection provider, JISC, is part way through a five year programme to upgrade their national network infrastructure which involves providing new connections into all UK universities.

As part of this, IT Services will be carrying out work to migrate from the existing connection to the new JISC connection which is based in two separate datacentres on campus: Holywell Park and Haslegrave.

To minimise disruption to service, the work will be carried out across two dates - Tuesday 2nd November and Thursday 4th November, between 7am-9am.

No outage is expected, however offsite internet connectivity will be at risk on each day, including access to Loughborough University email, Office365 (hosted in Microsoft) and the VPN service.
