Catering Information

If you're a self-isolation student you will receive 2 meals per day in addition to your breakfast pantry items which will be delivered to your self-isolation accommodation.
The weekly menu is available for download below.

Each delivery contains:
-Evening meal for the day of delivery
-Lunch for the following day

Essential/Breakfast Items

Essential/Breakfast Pantry Items will be delivered to kitchens weekly and will be re-stocked periodically. Please note, there should be sufficient items delivered to last for the week.

Whom to contact in the case of special diets

We will take care of special dietary requirements as per information provided to covid isolation group covid-logistics@lboro.ac.uk who will be able to record additional information at any point of the isolation period.

What do students receive as part of their food package?

Symptomatic awaiting results
If an individual or household who are isolating are awaiting test results you will be provided with an evening meal for the day of delivery and a packed breakfast and lunch for the following day.

Positive results
If a positive test is confirmed or you have been told to isolate due to contact with someone who has tested positive, you will receive an essential/Breakfast Pantry Items and cease to receive packed breakfasts:

Essential/Breakfast Pantry Items will be delivered to kitchens every 4 days. 
Please note, there should be sufficient items delivered to last the whole 4 days. 

 

What about lunch & dinner?

In addition to breakfast pantry items, you will receive 2 meals per day, which will be delivered to your self-isolation accommodation.

When are deliveries made?

Deliveries will be made between 12.00 noon – 5.30pm. 

Where are deliveries made to i.e. the kitchen, the stairwell?

Deliveries are made to the kitchen, but if kitchen is being used by self-isolating students, we have instructed our drivers to knock on the kitchen door and leave outside the kitchen door for students to collect. This is to ensure the safety of the students and our delivery drivers.

Who cleans the Kitchen Fridges?

Flat residents are responsible for ensuring fridges are clean and items stored are as per storage information. Can you please remove any out of date food from the fridges in your kitchen.

If there is no room in fridges when the deliveries are made we may have to leave food outside the fridge for you to put away yourself.  This is not ideal as some of the kitchens will be too warm to keep the food fresh.

 

Does the student receive any communication about their food package and confirmation of the dates of isolation?

Yes, this is included in the initial notification email from the  Warden / Hall Management.
