Description of the Works

SAC Heating Plant Replacement (Phase 2)

The new heating plant installed to the basement store area within a new caged area is set to resume which will pertain the connection of the district heating pipework, connection of the power supplies, BMS control installation to the newly installed plant equipment followed by commissioning.

The majority of the work will be within the basement area however on occasions a contractor presence is expected to the occupational health corridors to access and install new power supplies to the electrical distribution boards.

New wireless field control devices are to be installed to the Occupational Health Open Plan Office, SAC Reception, SAC Open Plan Office, Health & Safety Office, these devices will monitor the heating within the space and will link to the LoRaWAN hub at the central boiler house. A minor short disturbance is to be expected in each space while the new sensor is fixed to the wall.

Noise is to be expected where drilling of the structure is required to fix brackets for new components as well as formation of new holes through for new power supply routing from above floor level to the basement area.

During commissioning the heating system will need to be tested to prove correct operation and control, during this time offices could feel hot due to the summer external temperatures, this should last no more than 1 day and is expected to take place towards the end of the 3rd week (1st – 3rd July).

W/C 15th June for 3 weeks.
