Description of the works
The hedge that runs alongside Margaret Keay Road between the Morag Bell building and Car Park 5, needs to be cut back due to the upcoming construction works for the Central Accommodation Project.
This work is required due to the hoarding being installed around the area and the hedges will not be able to be maintained during construction phase. All hedges will be checked prior to the work for any wildlife, and the hedges will grow back to their current state.
To facilitate this work, a full road closure will be in place (see attached plan). Car Park 5 Entrance will also be closed for a small period, but this section will be prioritised first and the car park opened up again within a short timeframe.
The works should be completed in one day and we will endeavor to open the road and car park as soon as possible.
Timescale
18th December 2025 (19th Dec will be used as a contingency).
