Call for Proposals


Would you like to host a BSA Postgraduate or Early Career Forum Regional Event in 2019?

Submit your proposal to be considered for £1000 funding.


Each year the Postgraduate and Early Career Forum funds postgraduates and researchers to host their own event. In 2018, 19 events were accepted to be held throughout the UK.


We are looking for postgraduate and early career academics throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland willing to co-ordinate with speakers and the BSA to organise a day event at the applicant’s institution. 


  • Postgraduate students must be enrolled on a PhD course at a UK University
  • Early Career researchers refer to those who have received their PhD within the last seven years and working in a UK University
  • BSA membership is not a requirement for submission of your proposal, however, if successful all organisers and co-organisers must be members of the BSA

The submission deadline for proposals is: 5pm, Friday 5 October 2018. Late applications will not be considered.
