Making an Appointment for a Needs Assessment

If you'd like to make an appointment for a Needs Assessment, you can contact us

Make sure that you have your approval letter from your funding body to hand. We will need you to provide some personal details.

The Assessment Centre is open throughout the year, not just during term time.

What information will I need to provide prior to the Needs Assessment?

Once we have confirmed the appointment, we will send you some forms to fill in. We will also ask you provide a copy of the approval letter from your funding body and a copy of your supporting evidence (i.e. the evidence you sent in with your DSA application). This is so we have as much information as possible in order to make your assessment a thorough and helpful one.

We are audited externally by DSA-QAG and work to their required Quality Assurance Framework of required procedures and processes.  You can find out more about DSA-QAG on their website here.

While we endeavour to meet the needs of individual students Loughborough University also has a duty to keep members of staff free from harm.  Therefore, should visitors act in a threating manner or otherwise put our staff in harm’s way, we reserve the right to:

a)    Require another member of staff to be present for any meetings or appointments

b)    If the above is not possible, or in extreme cases, the right to refuse an appointment.
