Support for SMEs
Loughborough University is offering a brand new and exclusive service for SME’s to hire a Loughborough student or graduate for work-based opportunities at your organisation.
The scheme cuts both the cost and time of the recruitment process as well as providing you with a student/graduate from a top UK University. You will be provided with a Talent Match Co-ordinator who will support you throughout the scheme.
The scheme provides you with the following:
- Support and advice on creating a Internship opportunity
- Advertisement and promotion of opportunity
- Shortlisting of suitable candidates for opportunity
- Optional support on day of interview (including, interview space on campus)

An internship can help support your resourcing challenges, an intern from Loughborough can work on one project or be able to support your team in a peak period. Our students and/or graduates will bring a fresh perspective to your organisation and projects they work on.
The Loughborough Talent Match scheme is completely free for SME’s* and will provide you with a tailored service to find the ideal student/graduate internship. We promise to offer the opportunity for students to apply to as well as putting forward up to 5 students for interview if they meet the criteria for your opportunity.
A Talent Match co-ordinator will be your main point of contact throughout and will be on hand to offer support and guidance throughout the recruitment process.
An internship is a period of work experience, offered by an organisation, usually lasting for a fixed, limited period of time. They are typically undertaken by students and graduates looking to gain relevant skills and experience in a particular field.
