Support for SMEs


Loughborough University is offering an exclusive service through Lboro Talent Match to hire a Loughborough student or graduate for a funded internship at your organisation.


 The scheme cuts both the cost and time of the recruitment process as well as providing you with a student/graduate from a top UK University. You will be provided with a Talent Match Co-ordinator who will support you throughout the scheme.

The scheme provides you with the following:
• Support and advice on creating an Internship opportunity
• Advertisement and promotion of opportunity
• Tracking and monitoring of applications
• Optional support of shortlisting of suitable candidates for the opportunity
• Funding to support the salary of an Intern* Limited funding available

An internship can help support your resourcing challenges, an intern from Loughborough can work on one project or be able to support your team in a peak period.  The Loughborough Talent Match scheme will provide you with a tailored service to find the ideal student/graduate internship. A Talent Match co-ordinator will be your main point of contact throughout and will be on hand to offer support and guidance throughout the recruitment process.

We also have funding available* to eligible SMEs through Santander Universities. This is a low-risk recruitment method which includes a payment of £1000 to the student to fund them for a maximum of 108 during their internship.

What type of students will be available for an Internship Opportunity?

The Talent Match pool of candidates are made up of a wide variety of students from different degrees and year groups. All final year and recent graduates are eligible to sign up to the scheme and a selective group students from a widening participation (WP) background. We are ambassadors for diversity, last year the selected group were made up of black students looking to undertake an internship.
