Our central Employer Engagement team continues to extend the range of services for businesses designed to deliver positive outcomes and pro-active relationships, now more than ever as we extend business engagement activity to include our new Loughborough University London campus.

Loughborough Talent Match Scheme

Loughborough University is offering a brand new, cost-free and exclusive service for SMEs to hire a Loughborough student/graduate for an Internship opportunity. The scheme cuts both the cost and time of your recruitment process as well as providing you with a student from a top UK University for up to three months. You will be provided with a Talent Match Co-ordinator who will support you throughout the scheme.


The scheme provides you with the following:

  • Support and advice on creating a Summer Internship Opportunity
  • Advertisement and promotion of the opportunity
  • Shortlisting of suitable candidates for the opportunity
  • Optional support on the day of the interview (including free interview space on campus)

Employer Encounters: Big Opportunities in the Smaller Business

We realise that industry and student demand is changing with the emersion of new technologies and the marketplace for graduates is not only made up of our corporate partners but now there is a huge demand for careers in less well-known brands. With this in mind, we have created a suite of events aimed at our small to medium (SME) sized business partners. The aim is to engage, educate and enhance the student employment journey. As an employer this will give you access to present to students in new and innovative ways, supporting you recruitment and brand exposure needs.

 The events will showcase the following 4 areas in the academic year 2019 /2020 as shown below:

13th November      The Emerging Tech Encounter – Journey to success 

18th February        The Boutique Finance Employer – TEDx style talk

 4th March              The Ethical Employer Encounter – A Question Time-style panel

Santander Internships Scheme

Loughborough University and Santander have joined forces to offer three-month graduate internships. This is a low risk recruitment method including a £1260 subsidy towards the intern's salary. If you want to access bright young talent, the Loughborough University Santander initiative can help make the connection.
