New Hall Development - Student Village Project
As part of the University’s ongoing commitment to students, almost £50 million is being invested in a fantastic new hall of residence in the heart of the Loughborough campus.
This new self-catered hall of residence will provide 612 new student bedrooms. Being built due to ongoing demand from new and returning students for places in our halls of residences, the new accommodation will be a complex of ten blended multi-storey buildings. There will be a mix of en-suite and standard rooms in cluster flats with shared kitchen facilities.
The accommodation will be built in two phases. The first 3 blocks have been completed for the 2018 academic year, these are annexed to Cayley hall and contracted on the Cayley dining package. The remaining blocks will be ready for occupation for start of the 2019 academic year.
For 2019-20, the new Claudia Parsons Hall will have 409 en-suite student bedrooms (plus 71 rooms in the Sports Block). In addition, 2 x blocks (132 x standard rooms) will be added to the existing Cayley Hall.
On the same site will be an innovative Elite Athlete Centre and Hotel. Providing quality accommodation incorporating unique features designed to support top sports performers, the complex will cement Loughborough’s status as the UK’s premier training environment for sport.
