Accommodation for new students for 2019 entry

Undergraduate Conditional students

Once you have firmly accepted a Conditional offer, you will be able to register (create your online account) between 10:00 on Friday 31 May and 05:00 on Monday 29 July 2019.  You should have received an email early May advising you how and when you can register.

Providing that you have completed your online registration prior to Monday 29 July 2019, Loughborough University will guarantee you a room in University accommodation. Please note: you will not be able to proceed to reserve your room at this stage.

After the A Level results in August, if you have met the conditions of our offer and become Unconditional firm, you will be able to reserve a room in hall from Thursday 15 or Friday 16 August 2019 depending on your course

You will be sent an email late July advising you when you can reserve your room.  Please see Prospective Students – Undergraduate  information and How to Apply as a first year Undergraduate.

Undergraduate Confirmed/Deferred students

If you have a confirmed place at Loughborough, you will be able to register your online account and reserve a room in hall from 10:00 on Tuesday 21 May until 05:00 on Monday 1 July. 

Providing that you have completed your online registration prior to Monday 29 July 2019, Loughborough University will guarantee you a room in University accommodation.

Foundation Art & Design students

Once you have accepted your academic offer at Loughborough, you are eligible to register an account online from Friday 31 May 2019.

Halls accommodation is not guaranteed, however we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation. A certain number of rooms in University Halls are designated for your course (excluding Halls let for 41 weeks). 

Once you have met the conditions of our offer and have been accepted at Loughborough, (providing that you have completed your online registration prior to Monday 29 July 2019), you will be able to reserve a room in hall from Monday 19 August 2019.

You will be sent an email from mid May advising you how and when you can apply.

Erasmus / Exchange and direct entry students

Applications open:  You are able to Register and set your preferences online.

Halls accommodation is not guaranteed, however we promise to help you secure University allocated accommodation.  A certain number of rooms in University Halls are designated for your course, however as these rooms are limited, offers will be made subject to availability.

You should receive an email from the Student Accommodation Centre to advise you how to apply.  Please note that offers of accommodation will not be made until after 2 September 2019.

Postgraduate Taught or Research students

Once you have a firm offer for your course, you can apply online now.  Please see Prospective Students – Postgraduate  information and How to Apply as a postgraduate student.

Performance athletes

If you have been offered accommodation via the Sports Development Centre, they will send you details on how to apply for your allocated room.  Please see Prospective Students – Performance Athletes information

Undergraduate Insurance students

If you are not accepted by your firm choice university when you receive your results, but have still met the conditions of our offer, you will become unconditional firm at Loughborough.  You will be eligible to apply for accommodation from Monday 19 August 2019 after the A Level results.

You will not be able to apply for accommodation until you are accepted at Loughborough.

Additional information

Disability / medical or mental health condition - the University is committed to ensuring that students with a disability, including those with long term physical and mental health conditions, receive the support they need to succeed.
