Sports have always been an important foundation to Anupa for creating his goals and dreams. Studying Sport and Recreation Management at the University of Kelaniya confirmed that a sports-related career is a path that he would love to follow. In 2013, he began his career as a probationary lecturer at the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. After finishing his MSc in International Sport Management at Northumbria University, United Kingdom, he was promoted to lecturer post in 2016. During his school years, he discovered his passion for sports. Since then it has become more than just a hobby. He has pursued sports, participating in events for his School, university and for his country.


A comparative analysis of community sport development in Sri Lanka and England. Eventually the research will develop a model for evaluating the community sport development in a country.
