No.1 in the world - again!

Loughborough has retained its position as the best university in the world to study sports related subjects in the global 2021 QS higher education league table - cementing our position as the world-leader for sport for five years in a row!

The University has taken the title ever since it was launched by QS in 2017, a testament to its outstanding regard among the world’s academic community.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject are based upon research impact, academic and employer reputation.

Loughborough was ranked 1st for sport-related subjects after receiving perfect scores for both academic and employer reputation, while the impact and quality of our research secured a score of 96.2%.

Professor Mark Lewis, Dean of Loughborough’s School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences said: “To be crowned best in the world for sports-related subjects for five years running is a truly incredible achievement.
