Our course has been developed by those with experience of working in finance at some of the world’s leading football clubs.
The course – unique to football education – has been designed by Neill Wood, former Financial Controller at City Football Group – the parent company of Manchester City, with academic support and knowledge from experts in sports education at Loughborough University.

Visiting Fellow in Sports and Football Finance
Neill Wood is a Football Finance Professional, Chartered Accountant and Entrepreneur, as well as being a Visiting Fellow in Sports and Football Finance in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University.
Neill qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2010 and in 2015, Neill successfully secured his dream role as Financial Controller of global football organisation City Football Group, the parent company of Manchester City.
Neill brings with him a wealth of knowledge about the subject matter, practical experience and a unique insight about what it is like to build a skill set and high performing team in one of most complex sports environments in the world.
