The Water Conservation Trust Bursary Programme

We are delighted to announce that Loughborough University has been selected to be one of the few universities to benefit from a bursary programme set up under The Water Conservation Trust (WCT). The WCT is a charitable trust established by the Worshipful Company of Water Conservators ‘to promote the development and advancement of the science, art and practice of water and environmental management’ (https://www.waterconservators.org/water-conservation-trust/).

In the academic year 2022/23, the Trust will provide a bursary for one or more students enrolled on a full MSc programme in Water Engineering/Management for Development, who have the right to permanently work and live in the UK. The bursary, available to high quality applicants with financial difficulties, covers £4,000 against fees.

The WCT bursary is available to those applying to study on one of the two WEDC MSc programmes mentioned above (either full time or part time, via Distance Learning or taught). Only those applicants who have been accepted for the MSc programme will be considered for the WCT bursary. Applications for the WCT scholarships must be made on the standard Water Conservation Trust Bursary Application Form. Completed forms for the 2022/23 academic year of study must be submitted on or before 18th March 2022.
