The conference faced up to the global challenge of responding to the impact of climate change on the water sector and the pressing need for sustainable approaches to climate resilience, adaptation and mitigation within the context not only of water, sanitation and hygiene services; but also, as they relate to disaster risk management; nature-based approaches; emerging technologies; flood management; water quality and water security.
The five-day conference included keynote presentations each day, along with over a hundred recorded presentations from delegates. Live, interactive discussions with the authors followed the presentations. International agencies, including WHO, Unicef, WaterAid, Oxfam, USAID and Arup, also joined and provided insightful perspective on the issues.
Recordings of the conference are now available on YouTube.
Proceedings of the event, including the individual presentations and entire recorded sessions will appear on the University’s Institutional Repository, Figshare, later in the year.
