Systems-NET

Systems-NET is currently running a range of workshops spanning different areas of systems engineering and application domains. The purpose is to create an awareness of the key research challenges that the systems engineering community need to address. The workshops will provide an excellent opportunity to discuss and debate the key areas.

Other Proposed Workshop Themes

The following themes have been proposed by members of Systems-NET, if you would like to propose a workshop in a particular area of SE research please let us know:

  • Identification of emerging trends in systems engineering of relevance to the UK
  • Harmonising the systems engineering research need - academic and industrial perspectives
  • Benchmarking the UK's international activity and standing in the international arena
  • Insightful understanding (modelling) of systems in different sectors and how to map this to other sectors
  • Using Big Data to support systems engineering of complex systems
  • Model based systems engineering - Current status and experiences
  • Systems engineering - approaches to transformational advanced manufacturing in the UK
  • Systems engineering a sustainable infrastructure
  • Systems engineering sustainable and resilient utilities (water, gas, electricity)
  • Systems engineering a sustainable transport network - intelligent mobility
  • Safety across the sectors
  • Minimising risks with systems engineering
