Annual Theme, 2022-23

We are inviting exciting and ambitious applications to lead our Annual Theme for 2022-23.

IAS Themes run across the academic year, and their core objective is to bring leading international researchers to the University to work with colleagues in areas of established and emergent research excellence, brought together through the catalyst of the Theme.

Proposals for a Theme should be organised around an inspiring concept that invites research activity across disciplines - facilitating interactions between the arts, humanities, social sciences and STEM subjects - while providing a coherent focus for the year’s visits and events.

Theme proposals should demonstrate links to areas of research excellence across the University and the potential to enable the imaginative expansion of our research through the development of new and innovative international collaborations, interdisciplinary connections and activities.
