IAS Residential Fellowship Scheme

The IAS Residential Fellowship Scheme has launched with a deadline for applications of Friday 15th May 2020.

The Institute of Advanced Studies is delighted to announce a major new initiative, the IAS Residential Fellowship programme, which will begin from September 2020. The programme marks a step-change for the IAS, as it is the first competitive Fellowship scheme in our portfolio that permits international scholars to apply directly to us to spend a period of time at the University pursuing a focused body of research.

IAS Residential Fellowships are open to leading international researchers from across all career stages and disciplines. In addition to established academics, the IAS welcomes applications from scholars, artists, writers, public intellectuals and policy-makers outside the academy, whose research profiles resonate with areas of specialism at LU.

Applications to the scheme will need to demonstrate how the research proposed will extend Loughborough’s international research collaborations and networks, encourage innovative interdisciplinary research, and/or catalyse new and emergent directions for future research projects.

The scheme is now open for applications, with a deadline of Friday 15th May 2020. Information about the scheme as well as how to apply can be found here. IAS Residential Fellowships are for a period of one month, tenable at any point between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021, as agreed between the IAS and Fellow.
