Professor Ian D. Moore, Queens University, Kingston, Canada to visit Loughborough as part of the IAS Open Programme

The Institute of Advanced Studies welcomes Professor Ian D. Moore, Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada as an IAS Visiting Fellow.

The Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) at Loughborough University is delighted to welcome Professor Ian D. Moore, Canada Research Chair in Infrastructure Engineering, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Research Director of GeoEngineering Centre and Consulting Editor of the Canadian Geotechnical Journal from the Queens University, Ontario, Canada onto campus as part of the IAS Open Programme. Prof Moore’s visit has been organised and will be convened by Dr Alistair Smith:  a.smith10@lboro.ac.uk.

Professor Ian D. Moore, PhD PEng FCAE FEIC FCSCE, Canada Research Chair in Infrastructure Engineering (since 2001), Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Research Director, GeoEngineering Centre at Queen’s - RMC (between 2002-2019), Consulting Editor of the Canadian Geotechnical Journal - Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.  An expert on the behaviour and design of buried pipes.  Dr Moore’s 300 publications contribute to scholarship as well as North American and other codes, design and construction practices for culverts, sewers, manholes, liners, storm-water detention chambers and pressure pipe systems.
