In this interactive writeshop, JC Gaillard, co-editor of the journal Disaster Prevention and Management, will answer burning questions from postgraduate students and early career researchers. The event will eventually provide the participants with an opportunity to develop their own publication plan(s) and seek peer- as well as JC’s feedback. JC will seek support from Emerald, publisher of Disaster Prevention and Management, e.g. printed copies of the journal and goodies.
Biography
JC Gaillard is an associate professor at The University of Auckland. His work focuses on developing participatory tools for engaging minority groups in disaster risk reduction with an emphasis on ethnic and gender minorities, prisoners, children and homeless people.
