Prof Ahmed A. Shabama will present the activities of his Research Group to Loughborough Academics and Researchers.
After the presentation, interested colleagues will be invited to describe briefly their research activities and identify potential synergies that may lead to collaborations with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). There will also be the chance to invite Prof. Shabana to labs for a tour and further discussions.
Lunch will be provided afterwards.
Prof. Ahmed A. Shabana is a University Distinguished Professor, the Richard and Loan Hill Professor of Engineering, and the Director of the Dynamic Simulation Laboratory (DSL) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). His research interest is in the area of large scale computations as applied to dynamic systems. Dr. Shabana is the author of several books in the areas of dynamics, vibrations, and continuum mechanics. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). He is the Founding Chair of the ASME Technical Committee on Multibody Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics. More information can be found in the links below:
