Raed is currently a PhD student at CREST (Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology) working within the Wind Energy group under the supervision of Professor Simon Watson. His research is mainly about Condition Monitoring of Wind Turbines. 

Prior to his position at Loughborough University, he obtained his master’s degree from University of Mosul, Electrical Engineering Power System, Mosul, Iraq. He is also a lecturer in Oil Training Institute Baiji, Department of Electrical Engineering since 2011.
