Marco Pino - Expression of patient concerns in a hospice occupational therapy consultation

Presented By DARG

About this event

I will bring a clip (and accompanying transcript) from a video-recorded consultation involving a patient, her husband, and an occupational therapist. The consultation happens in a hospice. The patient has been diagnosed with a life-limiting condition that affects (and will increasingly affect) her breathing. The consultation involves introducing the patient to aids and breathing techniques that can ameliorate her difficulties. The conversation is in English. I have recently started examining this data with Wendy Archer with an interest in how patients refer to or hint at their concerns about their future.
