Developing Control System for Sterilising Domestic Water Supply

Aims and Objectives

The aim of this project is to improve the SCADA (surveillance control and data acquisition) system of water treatment plants in the UK, enabling better control over changes in river water quality. Time and process analyses of two water treatment sites chosen as case studies will be made to identify shortcomings of the current systems being used. Improvements will then be implemented by using more advanced sensor systems and automated processes recommended for these sites. These will be controlled using software developed for this purpose
