Timipado Imomotebegha

I am a second-year student studying Communication and Media Studies.

I am a University student ambassador, an ambassador for the School of Social Sciences as well as promotions officer for the Nigerian society.

Outside of studying, I am heavily involved in the Junction Church that meets up at Loughborough College. I am part of the church choir, the lights setup team and the children’s department.

I also take boxing and yoga classes through MyLifestyle, and enjoy exploring cities in the UK as I am an international student from Nigeria and am interested in British culture.

International Women’s Day means a lot to me and shouldn’t just be a one-time event that is then forgotten. Women in many countries are still limited and treated unequally, and it is a reminder that the world must acknowledge women as equal citizens, commend the growth and development of women holding significant positions in society and explore ways of breaking the glass ceiling.
