Miranda Routledge

Director of Planning

I have worked at the University in a variety of administration roles for over 20 years.

I have am currently the Director of Planning which gives me fantastic opportunities to understand what the various parts of the University are about and to help contribute to its successes.

Outside of work, I am a proud mum of two amazing girls who I hope will grow up to be amazing women. They are already showing promising signs, with my 8-year old wanting to be an engineer because she doesn’t see why this would be a job primarily for boys!

I enjoy running, and this is where I get my chance to think and work issues out in my head. I love doing cool stuff with my family and going on holiday to various places, mainly in Europe.

For me, International Women’s Day is a chance to celebrate the achievements of women all over the world, particularly those that have had to suffer personal, career or social hardship, or inequity to do this. So I want to celebrate all those women that have built their personal resilience and strength to achieve their full potential, in spite of, and perhaps sometimes because of, the obstacles that have stood in their way.
