I am a second year Sport and Exercise Science student with many different roles within the University.

I am Secretary and Treasurer for the LSU Stage Society, Course Rep for Part B Sport and Exercise Science, Lead Rep for sport subjects and University Ambassador for the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences. I love getting involved with my School and the Students' Union. I enjoy being at Loughborough as it has given me the opportunity to mix with hundreds of different people and take on roles of responsibility. I hope to try and give back as much as I can and make other students' experience amazing.

International Women’s Day to me is a day to step back and recognise how far we have come and how much we have achieved in the last century. I believe it is a statement to show that despite the fact we are often disadvantaged, we continue to fight and push forward to ensure that all women have the opportunity to pursue and achieve what they set out to do. Especially from my background in sport and exercise, IWD shows how far women's sport has come and that the barriers to participation are slowly fading. We still have quite a way to go, but we must always reflect on and celebrate how far we have come.
