In addition to my role in the Corporate Communications team at Loughborough, I am a freelance writer and public speaker on equality and inclusion within independent music.

My essay, Why I’m No Longer A Punk Rock ‘Cool Girl’, was published in 404 Ink’s bestseller, Nasty Women, in 2017 and I recently co-authored an academic teaching book called Principles of Festival Management, released in January 2019.

In a turbulent and fast-changing political environment, International Women's Day is an important opportunity to show solidarity with marginalised people across the world. I think Audre Lorde said it best: ‘I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.’
