In 2010, I joined Loughborough University to study Product Design Engineering in the Wolfson School, graduating in 2015 with an MEng degree and many great memories.

During my time at Loughborough, I lived in Telford Hall and was a member of the Snowsports committee. I am now an Industrial Design Engineer, still in touch with many of my university friends and live with my partner who I met in Telford Hall. I had an amazing experience and it shaped my life in so many ways. In my spare time, I like to 'upcycle' and renovate furniture to give it a new lease of life and to stop it from going to landfill as unnecessary waste. I enjoy running and I am often training for a 10k or half marathon. I am also a STEM Ambassador as I am passionate about getting young people interested in and involved with STEM, especially young women.

For me, International Women’s Day is about showing support for women, from both men and women, to improve the gender balance and promote equal opportunities for everyone. As an engineer, I want to break down the stereotypes and show that both women and men can be great engineers.
