#InspireInclusion

Loughborough is proud of its inclusive culture that celebrates diversity and aims to ensure gender equality in all its activities. International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

EmpowerHER

EmpowerHER aims to provide opportunities for women and non-binary staff and students to conquer barriers to getting active in environments where they can feel comfortable and supported. We aim to shift perceptions and empower women to embrace physical activity confidently and enthusiastically. The International Women's Day events page has more information about the sessions taking place across the week.

Reading list

Dr Ksenia Chmutina, with the help of friends and colleagues, has compiled a reading list sharing fiction and non-fiction reads about women. Covering themes of motherhood, resilience, romance, feminism, success, class and race to name a few, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
