Why is Moving Medicine?

About this event

The ‘Why is Moving Medicine?’ conference is the inaugural Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) and National Centre for Sport and Exercise (NCSEM) joint conference.

It will look at the science behind exercise medicine and build on the recently launched Moving Medicine resources to provide the evidence behind why movement is medicine.

The themes of the conference are musculoskeletal health, mental health, diabetes and cancer, with keynotes from Professor Stephen Harridge, Professor of Human and Applied Physiology, King’s College London and Professor Dylan Thompson, Professor of Human Biology, University of Bath.

The conference is aimed at clinicians, scientists, consultants, speciality trainees and anyone with an interest in why physical activity prevents and improves outcomes in chronic disease.

A concessionary rate is available to FSEM and NCSEM members and SEM trainees.
