Dr Helen Ryall

Dr Helen Ryall is a Senior Lecturer at Huddersfield University, teaching since 2001, and specialising in printed textile and digital design.  As well as the obvious focus on developing the students and enhancing the Universities reputation, her role also involves working with external partners within industry to advance digital technologies.

Helen completed her PhD in 2010, titled ‘An Exploration of Digital Technology Over a Number of Manipulated Textile Surfaces’.  This PhD investigated opportunities for combining of digital technology and printed craft design, with the focus to achieve innovative processes and highly detailed bespoke textile surfaces.
