  • The Journal facilitates, stimulates and disseminates research in the domain of textiles and textile design encompassing:

  • Research into textiles and textile design. This includes historical, cultural, social, aesthetic and scientific studies of textiles including theoretical viewpoints and their relationship to art and design;

  • Research through textile designing and making that uses practice as an integral part of the research. This could include craft and experimental research into materials and/or processes;

  • Research for textiles and textile design which has as its purpose the creation of artefacts which embody the results of the research.
