Software for calculating confidence regions for particle shape
This page provides access to MATLAB® scripts and functions to support Graham & Gadsden (in review).
Note that some of the functions require the Statistics Toolbox. More information about MATLAB® is available on The Mathworks website.
Please report bugs to David Graham <D.J.Graham@lboro.ac.uk>.
Functions
- axes2proportions - Convert axes data into equivalent proportional data.
- gmean - Geometric mean for ternary data.
- mardiatest - Mardia (1970) test of mulivariate skewness and kurtosis.
- sfplot - Plot data on a Sneed & Folk ternary diagram.
- ternplot - Plot data on a compositional ternary diagram.
- ternstatn - Geometric mean and theoretically-derived confidence regions for ternary data.
Examples
An example MATLAB® script is available which illustrates the calculation of theoretical and bootstrap confidence regions.
Example data are available for use with the example script.
Zip file
A zip file containing all of the functions and examples is available.
