Valérie Spezi
Research Associate
Interests and experience
After completing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Economics in France, I worked in a number of academic libraries in Italy, Australia and the UK. Through the various positions I have held in Public Services, Collection Management/Development and Institutional Repository Services, I have gained a sound understanding of library services and practices. I chose to complete this professional experience, and broaden my knowledge of the library sector, by working towards a Master's degree in Information and Library Management at Loughborough University, which I successfully completed, with distinction, in 2009.
I have worked as a Research Associate at LISU since 2009. During this time I have been involved in a number of projects. These have included:
My research interests include:
- Management and development of library services, particularly academic services
- Open access
- Scholarly communication
- Researchers' information behaviours
