Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science has a dynamic research culture with an international reputation.

Our research ranges from underlying mathematical theory, through AI and Imaging, to the practical creation and operation of networked systems. We run a suite of successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with around 700 students and are consistently ranked highly in national league tables and the NSS.

We seek to recruit a new colleague at the Senior Lecturer/Reader level to undertake research, teaching and enterprise in Computer Science.

The successful candidate will have synergies in research with the existing research areas in the Department and also be willing and able to provide senior leadership within the Department and the School.  They will have a track record of publishing their research in high quality outlets, generating grant income and mentoring junior staff.  Significant previous experience in university administration or leadership tasks is essential.
